This illustration was a character experiment with a surrealist style. Before moving to digital drawings, my art consisted of surreal characters which primarily showcased the main senses such as sight (eyes), hearing (ears), smelling (nose), touching (fingers), and taste (tongues). The theme for this character was “circus”. Which spawned ideas such as jester hats, clown shoes, clown nose, and eye-catching clothing. For this drawing, it started as a sketch which was then used as a foundation. The illustration shows a sad jester character “the fool” smoking a cigarette with floating lips, the backdrop consists of a dark purple space background.
